What Has Made Nigeria's Unity Nonnegotiable? By Abdulkadir Erkahraman

Biafra Restoration Is Not Negotiable

It has become a daily word on every platform of Nigeria's media that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable and I have kept wondering and asking why the use of the word "Not Negotiable" and no one has been able to give me a cogent answer. Does it mean that Nigeria is truly a commodity that has been bought wholesale by the northerners and the Yoruba are serving as their sales managers?

It has become an issue to clarify the people of Nigeria - as to what has made Nigeria's unity non negotiable by other regions but she is negotiable to the northerners alone as seen in the terrorist statements attributed to some northerners during different stages of the presidential elections as seen in the words of Lawal Kaita Daily Independent News Tuesday October 5, 2010 when he said that "The North is determined, (if Jonathan wins) to make the country ungovernable for President Jonathan ....Jonathan has to go and he will go. Even if he uses incumbency power to get his nomination on the platform of PDP, he will be frustrated out". They actually fulfilled this threat to the brim by instituting Boko-Haram which they successfully used to frustrate the government of Jonathan all through his four years in office as the president of Nigeria.

As if the seat of power in Nigeria must be theirs, the same unity destructive statement was also made by the Second Republic member of the House of Representatives and Russian trained medical doctor, Junaid Mohammed, when he declared that blood would flow on the streets of Nigeria should President Jonathan insist on running for presidency in 2015. Yet people will wake up from their bed of sleep to tell me that the useless Nigerian unity is not negotiable.

If Nigeria's continued existence as an entity were really not negotiable, why would the northerners never give room for a level playing ground for all in Nigerian politics? But instead, they resort to violence and killing of innocent citizens of Igbo origin as a show of displeasure any moment they lose election as seen in the loss of presidential seat in 2011 by Muhammadu Buhari.

Against this backdrop, I wish to state it clearly to all Northerners, Britain and the world at large that BIAFRA RESTORATION is Not and Will never be NEGOTIABLE and we the people of Biafra have come to take what rightfully belongs to us through civil means and under established laws that guide humanity as approved by United Nations which Nigeria is a signatory to.

Therefore, for Nigeria's unity not to be NEGOTIABLE again by any group, the Nigerian government must as a matter of urgency conduct a Referendum for the people of Biafra to determine if they are still interested in staying in Nigeria or opting out of her evil grip tightened by British government.
