Obasanjo onced said that Buhari lacks knowledge in foreign policies and he is very right.
Here is why…
Here is why…
Presidents Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Paul Biya of Cameroon, Yoweri Museveni of Uganda instructed their ambassadors to the United Nation to abstain from voting on the reversal of Jerusalem as Israel's capital. While Faure Gnassingbe of Togo instructed his ambassador to vote a "yes" in favor of the United States' resolve to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
These men may be foolish, but they are all protecting their political status in their respective countries.
The Togolese president has been having a hard time subduing the civil unrest against his continual hold on government. A "no" vote from Togo may make the US see reasons to oust him from office.
The Ugandan president and his Rwandan counterpart have been on the seat as presidents for too long and so, do not want an American instigated crisis to rout them out.
Paul Biya of Cameroon is having a hard time containing the secession attempt from Southern Cameroon and so, he has to tread carefully so as not to anger the US to switch their support to the secessionists.
But Nigeria voted against the USA's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital despite the fact that she has Biafra secession bid to contain. I tell you, things won't be rosy between the US and Nigeria from this day onward.
There are three possibilities that may occur :
1. The USA may discontinue all aid programmes for Nigeria
2. There might be a regime change in 2019 at the behest of Washington
3. Trump might just pick up that document that predicted that Nigeria will split into different countries by 2015 to implement it himself the same way he decided to implement the decisions of previous presidents that once recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel but lacked the political will to carry out their policy.
Me thinks the USA and Israel might go for the option of splitting the country so that they would have a satellite state that would be a key ally to them in the future. Who will convince them that Biafra would be that ally they crave for?
IPOB over to you. Take up the wheels, things are shaping up for you.
