Abians throws pure water, stones at T.A Orji at the burial of Dr. Elechi Nwaogbo

T.A Orji

It was  a disgraceful day for former Governor of Abia State, Senator T. A Orji,  as prominent sons and daughters of the state Friday gathered to pay their last respect to the former secretary to the state government under ex-Gov Orji Kalu's regime, Dr. Elechi Nwaogbo.

The event which was held at Ikwuano local government area of the state  had in attendance Ex-Gov. Orji Kalu, Abia State Deputy Governor -Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu, Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu among others.

As guests were pouring encomiums  on the deceased, the gathering  took another dimension as the youth sighted ex-Gov. T.A Orji at the venue and his entry was received with shouts of "we don't want you", "thief"  among other negative names.

The former governor and now senator had barely sat down when artisans and students started throwing pure water and stones  in his direction before he was later rescued at out of the venue by his fierce looking policemen.

Earlier in his remarks, Kalu extolled the virtues of the late administrator describing him as a perfect gentleman whose life was anchored on fairness, justice and equity.

He noted that the success of his regime as Governor can be largely attributed to the tireless efforts of the likes of the late Dr. Elechi Nwaogbo.

Also speaking, Abia State deputy governor stressed that the deceased will be remembered for his contributions to the development of the state.

Kanu’s actions worse than that of northern youths –Makarfi

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ahmed Makarfi, has said the method of agitation being employed by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, is worse than that of the Coalition of Arewa Youth Groups.

Makarfi said this on Friday during a live television programme on Channels Television titled, ‘Sunrise Daily’.
The northern youths had in Kaduna three weeks ago issued an ultimatum to all the Igbo people living in the North to vacate the region before October 1, 2017 because of the renewed Biafran agitation.
Makarfi, who is a former Governor of Kaduna State, said although he was not in support of the ultimatum, Kanu’s approach was more infuriating than that of the northern youths.
When asked why the Arewa youths had not received enough condemnation, Makarfi said, “What he (Kanu) is doing is different from what the youth in the North have done. The youth in the North, may be 10 or 15, did a press conference.
“Nnamdi Kanu is holding people to ransom, bringing economic activities to a standstill, holding what will look like a mini rally. None of that is happening in any part of this country. All the leaders in the South-East have said yes we have concerns but the way you are going about it is wrong.
“The northern boys are just press (sic) and they dispersed, period. I am not in support of what they did but I am talking of the manner of their action. Whereas Nnamdi Kanu and his people are consistently holding people to economic hostage and at a particular time, they held the South-East down for a day.
“You don’t find such not just in the North but any other part of the country. You cannot behave that way.”
Makarfi praised the South-East leaders for coming out to state categorically that Kanu lacks the authority to speak for the Igbo. He said agitations are legal but must be done with decorum, devoid of hate speeches.
The PDP chieftain added, “We cannot wish away any agitation, but as part of the South-East, let them come together and approach the government for the implementation of the recommendations of the 2014 National Conference report and demand an amendment of the part that is of concern to the South-East but that amendment must also be generally accepted by Nigerians.”
The PDP chieftain supported calls for restructuring but argued that the terms must be clearly spelt out because different people had diverse opinions of what restructuring ought to be.

Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Goes Barefooted, Kneel and Prays To God To Restore Biafra ( Photos)

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu travelled back to the land of Biafra origin, the Biafrans ancient home,

EXPOSED!!! Election Boycott: Ohanaeze Declares War On IPOB Over Osinbajo’s Bribe

                                By Mazi Onyebuchi Eze
                               For Family Writers

The information reaching the news room of Family Writers Press has it that Ohaneze Ndigbo political hungry pigs led by the political Chameleon known as Chief John Nnia Nwodo has declared a systematic war against Biafrans all the world in general and IPOB in particular by sabotaging Biafra restoration.
The declaration of war was contained in the speechwhich John Nnia Nwodo of shame delivered intheAnambra State House of Assembly chamber in Awka. In the John “Chameleon” Nwodo’s speech, he publicly challenged the authority vested on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (De Great) by Biafrans which is going to attract serious consequences on John “Chameleon” Nwodo reputation in particular and Ohaneze mushroom organization bereft of membership in general after this showdown with IPOB and Biafrans.
Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the Supreme command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (De Great) cannot pretend ignorance of what Ohaneze Ndigbo of shame and John “Chameleon” Nwodo is turning out to become at the moment because their Chameleon-like body language over the months is already a pointer to IPOB that a day will come when they will pitch tent with the oppressors of Biafrans in Aso Rock to fight against the restoration of Biafra.

A point to their chameleons disposition is stemmed at their regular attitude of frequent switching from support of Biafra restoration to call for dubious restructuring. But as Ohaneze Ndigbo led by John Nnia Nwodo has openly shown that they are not interested in Biafra restoration, is it not time for Biafran youths to banish the hungry pigs out of Biafra Land to serve as deterrent to many people who may intend to sabotage the restoration of Biafra in the future on a mere Ghana Must Go bags of money?

However, whatever eventually happens with John Nnia Nwodo and Ohaneze political harlots, it is important for everyone in Biafra land to show these fools that the bags of money given to them by Prof Osinbajo in Aso Rock as revealed by an insider from the presidency to Family Writers investigation department, is not more valuable than the lives of Ezu River Igbo youths killed by Anambra state government with the support of Ohaneze Ndigbo just because of their stand for Biafra restoration.

Family Writers Press want Biafrans of Anambra State to ask Ohaneze Ndigbo the following questions:

1. What did Ohaneze and John Nwodo of shame said when Gov Willie Obiano openly supported the massacre of the same Anambra people inside St Edmund Catholic Church in Nkpor on 29/5/2016 and bath many bullet wounded people with acid to die slowly by Nigeria Army?

2. What did Ohaneze fickle Chameleons and John Nwodo said when Gov Willie Obiano openly declared before Nigeria Army kangaroo panel that nobody was killed at Nkpor even when the massacre was done in a broad daylight?

NNAMDI KANU SHOULD WITHDRAW HIS STATEMENT OVER THE NOVEMBER 18 GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN ANAMBRA STATE SAYS HON. MATHIAS ANINWACHUKWU

The  Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Anambra State Chairman Hon. Mathias Aninwachukwu,  said the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu should withdraw his statement over the November 18 governorship election in Anambra state.
Kanu should be aware that there is a president ruling over all the states in Nigeria. Anambra is part of these states. If Biafrans, Igbos boycott elections in Anambra, the implication is that the president can bring somebody to rule over us.
If there is chaos of boycott on the day of elections, the president can pick a Hausa/Fulani military administrator to rule over Anambra. If he does that, what will you do? Will that give us Biafra? If the president says they want Obiano to continue, what will you do?
We have been crying that we don't want Obiano, we don't want APC, we don't want APGA,we don't want UPP, we don't want PDP,we don't want PRP, All we are going to do is to come out en masse, and vote out that person we say we don't like, and vote in those we know have the Biafran ideology. That is the one think that will work, not boycott.
All Biafrans need now is to be calm, they should be quiet. I understand that they are angry, I understand that all they want is Biafra. But they should understand that there are methods more strategic than coming out to shout Biafra. There must be a methodology, they should calm down and wait for the leader to conclude and complete his consultations.

You Are A Looter And Drug Dealer- Arewa Youths Blast Dangote

dangote

The Coalition of Northern Groups(CNG) has described Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, as more of a treasury looter than a businessman. They also referred to him as a moral liability to the North.
Recall that Dangote on Wednesday described the Arewa youths who gave the quit notice to the Igbo as jobless youths seeking relevance.
In a swift reaction,  the coalition of Arewa Youths in a statement signed by its spokesman Abdul-Azez Suleiman slammed Dangote for casting aspersion on them.
The statement read, “The Coalition of Northern Groups would ordinarily not have bothered to respond to inconsequential criticisms coming from people like Aliko Dangote but for the fact that they may assume some importance within the context of northern leadership.
“We all know that Dangote and all those that appear uncomfortable with our Kaduna Declaration are those who thrive from condescending against northerners and the northern values. They represent a pack of scavengers who would readily negotiate the general interest of their people in order to cover up their dirty sources of wealth and fame.
“In particular, Dangote has never been and can never be among genuine northern patriots and therefore his support for, or opposition to anything that tends to serve the interest of the region and its people is inconsequential and is not expected.
“If anything, Dangote is no more than a moral liability to the cultured north having become the final destination where every corrupt government official dump their public treasury loot. He is therefore morally liable along with other Igbo accomplices for the economic hardship wrought on Nigeria in the past 25 years.
“We are therefore not surprised that Dangote should openly oppose this course that is endorsed by all well-meaning northerners and the likes of Professor Ango Abdullahi and several other secular and religious scholars of note.
“This is because Dangote is never known to have had any form of conventional education or religious training before venturing into dubious money-making schemes.
“He is also not expected to support anything North because in the pursuit of wealth, he has come to develop an endemic hatred for his northern kith which exposes why, as the richest man in Africa, Dangote can only boast of a very negligible presence by way of investment even in his birthplace, Kano while citing more than 70% in the South.
“Most importantly, we are very much proud that we are only “jobless’ as claimed by Dangote, but then, none of us has the record of ever being involved in drug peddling or currency counterfeiting.
“All our lives, since childhood, we have never been found wanting in any money-worshipping venture to the point of criminally peddling hard drugs and, or forging hard currency.
“We are also happy that the Kaduna Declaration has finally exposed the bankruptcy of many northerners such as Dangote who have turned traitors after riding on the goodwill of the region’s past leaders who sacrificed everything to bequeath a fair environment to future generations.
“Dangote and his likes should note that it is now a different North from the one they at will exploit with their cutthroat entrepreneurship.
“They should also note that the Kaduna Declaration is a strong and meaningful statement that cannot be wished away by the ranting of the traditional exploitative bourgeoisie.
“We nevertheless challenge Dangote and other northern traitors to dare test their popularity against the Kaduna Declaration for them to really know how insignificant they are.
“And we challenge Dangote to test the political waters by making the mistake of accepting the well-known plots by Olusegun Obasanjo to get him to run for the presidency; that is when he would know the true cost of betraying one’s own people.”

Had it been Igbos issued the quit on North, Buhari would have ordered mass killing – Igbo Group

The United Eastern Congress Youths have stated that the recent quit notice issued to Igbos residing in the northern region by a coalition of Arewa youths has a political undertone.
The group said that for the Arewa youth leaders that tried to incite ethnic violence to still be working free in the country is enough reason that there is more to the quit notice.
The organization also admonished Igbos and other South Easterners living in any part of the country to return back to their ancestral land, insisting that there was no guarantee that their lives and property would be protected in the event that Arewa youths eventually carry out their threat to forcefully evict the Igbos at the expiration of the ultimatum in October, 2017.
National Secretary of the Organization, Omon Ekpenyong, stated this on Friday, in Owerri, the Imo State capital, where he noted that the statement of the northern youths was not only treasonable, but capable of igniting ethnic war in the country.
He said, “My people I am greatly worried that up till this moment, nobody has been apprehended over the issue in the north with the Arewa youths, while if it were to be the Christian youths that gave the Hausa’s quit notice, which we are the right people to do so, because of the marginalization and the killing of Christians in the north.
“Our leaders will go as far as ordering the killing and mass arrest of all the youths for prosecution. It is time for us to stand up and also ask them to vacate our terrain for peace to reign. C R K has been removed from their curriculum to study Arabic in the northern schools. I believe it is time for God to do his will, as it happened to the children of Israel in Exodus 12:40-41.
“Yes, Governor el-Rufai directed for the arrest of those Arewa youths, but I see it as a mere statement because up till now no meaningful arrest has been made and at the same time, they are gaining the support of a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria. The co-convener of the coalition of Northern groups Yerima Shettima even made it open that he has the support of his Elders. What are we not talking of. Is our perception not coming to reality?”
“When did Shettima Yerima and his collaborators become the Nigerian law enforcement agency? This is to show how marginalized the south is. This issue is related to beating a child and asking him not to cry which is the highest level of suppression. If I may ask, the northerners who come to the south and make little or no investment, don’t even pay house rent and have nothing to add to the region’s resource and well-being and the southerners who invest without any rethink. Who among them have the unity of the nation in mind? Asking Igbo to leave any region of Nigeria is baseless.
“The Igbo have over N44 trillion investments in the north, that we know, but their lives are more important than those things
“As we are beckoning on the Federal Government and security operatives to protect our people, the Igbo should get ready to defend themselves in case there arise any attack from the Arewa youths.”

The European Union (EU) Ambassador to Nigeria and ECOWAS, Mr Michel Arrion says EU will not increase its financial assistance to Nigeria.
Arrion made this known in Abuja while delivering a Distinguished Lecture organised by the IBB Golf Club, with the theme “40 years of European union in Nigeria: Lessons learned and the way forward”.
The ambassador who said that EU was not promising further assistance to Nigeria however said that Nigeria remains EU key partner in view of the role it plays in global affairs.
The envoy also stressed that the Union would scale up its efforts towards the country’s institutional, political and economic development for a more prosperous future.
He said that Nigeria could not be said to be poor, as it is has enough resources to meet its developmental needs.
While expressing concern that on the economic level of the country Arrion called for a more equitable distribution of the nation’s wealth to ensure growth and stability and unleash its enormous economic potentials.
Arrion explained that the combine aides to the country were about ten per cent of the country’s annual budget.
According to him, the Official Development Assistance  (ODA) flow in Nigeria is about 2.5 billion dollars yearly, which  correspond roughly to about 10 per cent of the federal budget (N7,3trillion  or 24 billion dollars).
This, he said has raised the question of should EU continue to give aide to Nigeria.?
Arrion, however said the regional block would scale up its efforts towards the country’s institutional, political and economic development for a more prosperous future.
“We are not offering more financial support, we are proposing more political and policy dialogue, technical assistance, capacity building, training, transfer of technology.
We also proposing more advocacies for more private investments and other innovative sources of funding,” the EU envoy said.
The envoy therefore called for improving in tax collection to finance the development of the country.
According to him Nigeria must find alternative funding to ODA including improved tax collection which must be improved at least five times more and also spend better.
Quoting Price Water Cooper (PwC 2016), he said: “Nigeria collects about N5.5 trillion or 18 billion dollars per year.
“About 10 million people (10 per cent of adult population) are registered for personal income tax (half of them in Lagos).
“The rate of VAT compliance by registered entities is about 12 per cent. The rate is lower for corporate income tax nine per cent.”
He also said Nigeria must attract more foreign investment five times more, to reach the level of Angola or Vietnam for instance and put in place more and better Public Private Partnerships.
Arrion  said the evolution of vibrant relationship of equal partners between Nigeria and the EU was founded on shares values and aspirations and mutual trust.
According to him EU in its 40 years of engagement with Nigeria has identified development priorities, funded projects to stimulate the Nigeria’s economy, reduce hunger and disease.
He said that the union had also helped to enhance institutional capacities, strengthen governance and fight insecurity in Nigeria. (NAN)
